Go Outside and See It!

I handle many travelers all the time, and one thing I have noticed is that they are so determined to get to their destination such that they hardly have the time to enjoy the journey. I live in Colorado where I am surrounded by wonderful nature. Peaks, undulating hills, clear skies and incredible weather most of the time … yet my travelers never seem to see all this. However, I am determined to help them see as much as they can.

If you are a traveler, always take time to notice what is around you. You will get such an exhilarating experience. Besides, it is not as if you will spend any extra money.

Why you should go outside to see nature

Nature makes me happy

Happiness is the road to success. When I breathe fresh and pure air, I feel happy. Honestly, breathing easier makes me so happy such that I forget every worry. I like inviting my colleagues for a nature walk whenever we can grab some time. As we stroll, we find ourselves smiling for no reason. Nature lets us enjoy life away from our serious and tight office schedules. This amounts to our fulfillment and enjoyment. It has also added great quality to my life – both career and family-wise. Most importantly, my self-esteem has improved and boosted mental health.

Exercising in fresh air

Going outside can make a good part of your exercise through walking and hiking. Unlike using a treadmill, I like taking a walk outside. It is more fun and enjoyable than the gym. Personally, I do not like the exercises that our instructors make us do in the gym. They are hard and tormenting. Walking outside, on the other hand, makes my exercises very easy. Probably, it is due to the green effects. I think the color green boosts my mood.

Exposure to sunshine adds vitamin D to our body. According to research, D Vitamin can boost the sex drive in men. More so, it can increase the levels of testosterone – the ultimate male hormone. Going out for some sun apparently helps the body, but as you can see, it is more than wonderful for the male species.

Nature eases the symptoms of ADHD in kids

The outdoors are great for hyperactive kids. Research has shown that kids who spend time playing outside exhibit low ADHD symptoms. This means that parents should let their kids play outside instead of spending lots of time on their playstations. A 2004 WebMD report shows that exposure to nature can reduce ADHD signs in kids aged 5 to 18 years.

Nature is an antidepressant

Taking a rendezvous in nature is going to be a good antidepressant. Therefore, instead of taking anti-depressants, why don’t you try taking time outside to reduce stress? When I spend time outside, whether I bask by the sun or take a nature walk, I feel my moods elevated almost immediately. Most importantly, nature eases work-related anxiety. I once suffered from depression and my doctor asked me whether I knew what eco-therapy meant. I came to understand it is a nature, earth-centered and green therapy. Today, I do take eco-therapy as much as I can, and it helps me to detoxify my mind. I honestly cannot recall the last time I was depressed.
